Why you shouldn't just be trying to find a job

I’ve had a chance to meet a lot of people over the years, but someone that has always stuck out in my mind is Hank Blank. I met Hank while working at Rhythm back in 2013. As part of our daily routine, me and some of the guys/gals in the office would stroll around the parking lot each day around 3 or 4pm. We’d get about 10 minutes of exercise and cover a little over a half of a mile. Well, occassionally we’d see this odd character walking the opposite way, and sometimes we’d even see him around the office, poking his head in, seemingly knowing everyone and no one at the same time. It didn’t take long before Hank would introduce himself to me and hand me his business card in passing during one of my solo walks. He didn’t say much, just that he’s seen me around, and wanted to introduce himself and offer his services if ever there was an opportunity. Simple, right? That first introduction has had a pretty big impact on me over the years, as I’ve since followed Hank on social media and learned a lot from some of the motivational content that he produces. Anyhow, if I could recommend just one of his pieces, it would be a short 3 minute video he created that really explains why young people shouldn’t be so worried about finding a job right now. What they need to worry about is a lot more important…

So, watch the video, and please comment below to let me know what you thought about it. Do you agree? Have you given any thought to what he suggested already, or made any steps towards that goal? If so, great! If not, why not? What’s keeping you from doing that? Is it time? Is it money? I’ve been doing these kinds of things for two decades now… Don’t be afraid to ask me for help. I’ve been there, and I want to help others learn from my mistakes. What Hank suggests can be done overnight. Literally. And, I have a lot of other things that can help get you there as well. So, don’t be shy. Comment below, and let’s talk about it :)
